Today’s Daily Report is brought to you by Garmin, the official electronic training collar supplier and bib sponsor to the National Retriever Club of Canada.
It was warm and muggy overnight which made for a warm moring; already 18 degrees with a mostly sunny sky. The forecast is for a high of 25 but with humidity will feel like 31. Wind is light and coming from the SE, and picking up this afternoon to 24kmph and 40% chance of a thundershower by 3:00pm.
Today’s test is being run at the North East pond on the MGDA grounds – a water triple with two retired guns, and an honour. The guns are shot around the clock with guns #1 and #2 retiring. Gun #1 is thrown r-l with a hen mallard; gun #2 is thrown r-l with a hen mallard; and gun #3 is thrown l-r also with a hen mallard and lands on a small island with reeds. Gunners at station #3 are sitting in a boat that is on land; they stand to throw, then sit down. The honor dog is to the right of the running dog. The male test dog came to line at 7:32 and the female test dog at 7:42, so from dog-to-dog on the mat is taking 10 minutes. Dog 37 came to line at 7:55am.
Today’s breakfast sponsor is the National Retriever Club of Canada, and a correction to yesterday’s sponsor who was Maureen & Glenn Kletke. Today’s series sponsor is the Manitoba Gun Dog Members – thank you for your support!
