Good morning! We are currently on Day 5 of the National Retriever Championship at the MGDA grounds. The temperature is cooler today at 13 degrees, and it’s overcast. You can feel the mist in the air, but so far, there has been no rain, and visibility remains clear. The forecast predicts a high of 17 degrees, with cloudy conditions throughout the day and a wind of 14 km/h at our backs, coming from the northeast.
Test 7 features a water blind set at 270 yards. It begins with a long land entry that has three small bushes in front, creating a narrow slot. There are two points to navigate once the dogs are in the water. The mat is oriented west-southwest. The blind planter retires behind a large bush to the right of the blind’s endpoint. The test dog “Spade” and Glynn arrived at the line at 7:50, followed by the female test dog “Lily” and Carrie at 7:57. The first running dog, #26, came to the line at 8:10.
